⚡ Firmware Update Notice
We’ve released Firmware Config v1.2 with minor improvements!
This update lets you factory reset and auto-calibrate your sensors directly from the Home Assistant UI, so there’s no need to use the HLKRadarTool phone app.
All customers can continue with the regular installation setup guide.
If you want to use these new features and your device has an older version, you can upgrade to the new firmware following the Advanced Installation Guide after completing the initial setup.

Connect the device to any USB power supply.

Within a minute, the device will start a Wi-Fi hotspot named "Akamatis Presence Sensor Hotspot" or “Akamatis Smart Device [random suffix]” (no password required). Connect to it by following these steps:

open the Wi-Fi settings on your phone or computer (not in Home Assistant yet)

look for a network name with "Akamatis" prefix

tap or click that name

After connecting, open a browser and go to 192.168.4.1.

Enter your Wi-Fi credentials (SSID and password).

Your computer/smartphone should automatically reconnect to your regular Wi-Fi network in less than a minute.

In Home Assistant, go to Settings → Devices & Services. You should see a newly discovered device with the name starting with “Akamatis Presence Sensor …”. Click Add, then set your preferred device name and location.
You may ignore sensors that are auto-discovered via Bluetooth (BLE). -
That’s it! The device should now appear under Settings → ESPHome.
If your device has Firmware v1.2 or newer, we recommend performing a factory reset of the radar sensor (not the ESP32 itself) from the Home Assistant UI before configuring automations.
