Device Wi-Fi hotspot is not visible
1. Reduce interference
Use a USB extension cord to position the device away from objects that can block or interfere with Wi-Fi signals, such as:
USB hubs or micro PCs
Large appliances like TVs or refrigerators
2. Refresh your Wi-Fi list
Sometimes the network list does not update automatically. Try:
Turning Wi-Fi OFF and ON
Reopening or refreshing the Wi-Fi list
Is there a way to factory reset the preflashed firmware on the MCU?
Currently, there is no way to factory reset the preflashed firmware. You will need to reflash the device by installing the device manually. Please follow these steps:
Cannot find the YAML configuration for the sensors.
Use the YAML configuration generator available in the setup manual:
https://www.akamatis.com/setup/advanced-setup
After changing the configuration, all sensor values appear as ‘unknown’ in Home Assistant.
Possible Cause:
Keeping Engineering Mode enabled for an extended period can overload the UART bus. This may cause the LD2410 sensor to stop outputting valid data or produce incorrect readings.
Use Engineering Mode only temporarily for testing or fine tuning the sensor.
After completing tests, disable Engineering Mode to prevent UART congestion and ensure stable sensor operation.
Factory reset the sensor:
Install the HLKRadarTool app on your phone and connect to the radar via Bluetooth.
Tap the "Initialize" button (its name may be a little confusing) to reset the radar and restart the device.
If values still show "unknown", unplug the device for 3 seconds and plug it back in. Give Home Assistant a moment to update.
The device keeps reporting a serial parsing error: “Max command length exceeded”.
This issue is usually caused by incorrect YAML configuration. Please make sure you select the correct MCU when generating the configuration file:
After updating the LD2450 (Skopos) firmware to version 2.14, all sensor values appear as “unknown” in Home Assistant.
Connect to the LD2450 sensor using HLKRadarTool via Bluetooth.
Set the Baud rate to 256000.
I positioned the Skopos sensor as recommended, but HLKRadarTool app shows the target’s coordinates as reflected or mirrored.
Please ignore this behavior. If you followed our setup manual for configuring the sensor and zones, this issue will not appear in Home Assistant. No additional action is required. The reason HLKRadarTool app shows mirrored coordinates is currently unknown.
